We will work together to select the style of quilting, designs, type of batting,
and thread that you like best. I have many patterns to choose from, or I can create designs specifically for your quilt.
A continuous line design that covers the entire quilt top. The design can be from a pantograph
pattern, or it can be freehand quilted.
An edge-to-edge design in the center of the quilt and a separate design in the border.
Quilt blocks and borders are stitched with individual designs. Also included are techniques
such as stitch in the ditch, outlining, echo quilting, meandering, cross hatching, and grid work.
Custom quilting that also includes detailed patterns designed and sized for your quilt, trapunto, and fine background
quilting.
For quilts that will be hand quilted. Your quilt is basted with an edge-to-edge
4 to 6 inch grid. Stitches are approximately one inch long.
To calculate your quilting cost:
___width x ___length = ___sq inches
___sq inches x ___sq inch price = ___
For example, the cost to quilt an 80
x 90 inch quilt with an edge-to-edge design would be:
80 x 90 = 7200 sq inches
7200 sq inches x $.010 = $72.00
Binding is prepared and machine stitched to the front of your quilt.
Sew open seams, square backing, sew backing seams, extra pressing, trim loose
threads.
Many types of thread in a variety of colors and weights are available. The cost
of thread is included in the prices for quilting services.
Cotton, wool, and polyester battings are available for purchase. Or feel
free to supply your own.
Local clients can drop off and pick up quilts in person. Nonlocal clients can ship their quilt to me, and I will ship it
back with insurance coverage.
